Titan Poker Review

Summary:
This is our TitanPoker review summary.
Titan Poker have a well deserved reputation for the loosest tables online. Their great selection of cash games and tournaments, along with numerous promotions, make this an excellent choice for non-US poker players worldwide.

Titan Poker Player Base

Titan Poker are the largest poker room in the ‘iPoker’ network – a group of sites which pool their players together. The iPoker network is in fact ranks 4th in the highest traffic poker sites listing with more than 50,000 players online at peak times of European evenings and weekends.

This site does not support players from the US. However their player base – though predominantly European us geographically diverse enough to ensure tables are widely available throughout the day.

Titan have a (well deserved) reputation for some of the loosest and worst opponents online. At the lower levels this is certainly true – however there are some good players at the higher stakes tables as with all online poker sites.

Titan Poker Software Client

Titan Poker run the ‘PlayTech’ software client. This is plain, yet functional and allows you to focus on the poker without too many distractions. The lobby works using a ‘tree structure’ in a similar way to Party Poker, you choose the game type and then drill down through the options of buy-in level to display a table list in the main lobby window. The lobby can be a little slow to update at times – a minor irritation.

Tables are displayed with all the statistics required for those using active table selection, including average pot size and percentage of players to each flop as well as waiting list information. Filters can be used to further reduce the number of tables on display and to save your preferences.

The tables themselves are plain yet functional, the action buttons and access to history and statistics data all easy to use. Texas Holdem tables can be set into ‘mini-view’ for those who wish to play multiple tables – though they can not be manually resized to suit your own preferences.

Titan Poker Cash Game Selection

Texas Holdem and Omaha tables are both busy at Titan Poker, particularly at the lower limits (up to around $1 / $2). Fixed Limit, No-Limit and Pot-Limit Holdem, Omaha (+ Hi-Lo) and Stud Poker (both 7 card and 5 card varieties) are all available. New players can play on dedicated ‘Beginners Tables’ for their first 30 days.

Betting limits start at just cents with the smallest No-Limit Holdem games having a 1c / 2c blind structure and a $1 minimum buy-in. For the high-rollers there are tables available with $100 / $200 blinds. The number of tables available declines sharply at $3 / $6 and above. Omaha tables are becoming increasingly popular at Titan Poker with the pot-limit games up to $1 / $2 attracting large number of players.

The full ring tables hold 10 players with heads-up and 6-max both popular. A unique feature at Titan Poker is the inclusion of 8-max tables at many limits, these provide a nice balance between the aggression of 6-max and the hand selection required at a full-ring table.

Titan Poker Tournament Selection

A very wide selection of tournaments are available at Titan Poker – with a definite focus on the lower and middle buy-ins. Many tournaments also feature guaranteed prize pools – often resulting in overlays (prize pools bigger than the sum of entry fees). Multi-table tournaments are predominantly no-limit Holdem, with buy-ins from just $1 and many at $20 and under. Re-buy, double stacked and turbo tournaments also feature. Tournaments in Omaha poker format can also be played (both high and hi-low), again including re-buys.

Titan Poker offer a huge number of satellite qualifiers – both for the big buy-in tournaments at the site and for outside live events. They have a unique way of running satellites, dividing these into ‘stages’ which lead to super-satellite qualifiers. Stage #1 satellites can often be bought in to for just a couple of dollars and lead to stage #2 and so on. Sit and Go satellites are also popular for those wishing to win seats into the later multi-table qualifier events.

Sit and Go tournaments are busy at Titan Poker – particularly the $10 and under limits. These include turbo, super-turbo, 6-max, heads-up and multi-table sit and goes. Titan also run ‘jackpot sit and go’ tournaments. The idea here is that winning 6 in a row is rewarded with a huge payout of $50k or more. Jackpot sit and goes are available at various buy-ins and have slightly higher fees (which contribute to the jackpot prize).

The sign-up bonus at Titan Poker is a generous 100% match on your first deposit up to $500, use bonus code XXXXXX for the full bonus amount.
