Everest Poker’s ‘Live The Dream’ – Overview

The package on offer to the 10 successful qualifiers is worth an incredible $100,000 for each player. This includes entry into the World Series Main Event and European Poker Tour Grand Finals – as well as 4 other EPT and WPT events – not to mention a cool $21,000 for expenses.

How To Qualify For ‘Live The Dream’

Qualification for this tournament is unusual – in addition to the two qualifying paths outlined below there is a ‘casting session’ where 200 qualifiers will meet a panel of the Everest Poker team and special guests and be auditioned on a range of poker and non-poker related criteria. This ‘casting call’ will be held on March 22nd and 23rd 2008.

The two paths to get to the casting call are via online tournament qualifiers or via the Everest Poker ‘Summit Points’ leader board. Daily satellites costing $3, $10 and 25 Summit Points feed into a weekly qualifier – held each Monday. The top 10 finishers in the weekly tournaments will go forward to the casting call. In addition, the prize pool for the weekly tournament is distributed normally to the winning players.

In addition to the tournament qualifiers the top 5 finishers of Everest Poker’s Summit Point monthly leader board from November through to February will receive casting call places.

Though the 10 people chosen from the 200 casting call contestants will be picked by a panel of judges – there will be scoring based on a number of pre-determined criteria. These include online and live poker skill, personality, writing (blogging) ability, speaking skills and knowledge of Everest Poker.
